Their profile is a bit more extensive since they require 5 essay questions
but it is worth putting in the time since it will increase the likelihood
of a successful match by allowing you to screen potential dates before
writing them thus saving you precious valuable time.
The feature that I like the most offered at American Singles is the
instant messaging (IM). This feature makes it easy to strike  up
a conversation with someone since you can just casually say hi instead
of drafting a creative email with several paragraphs. Under member services,
you can select your profile display settings to show or hide your profile
to other members as well as let them know when you are “online”.
I would suggest setting your profile to show you are “online”
because I found people were more inclined to send you an IM over regular
email. Additionally you can also choose to ignore an instant message
if you decide you are not interested in chatting. You are always in
control at American Singles.
Overall I really like the layout of the web site and I found this site
to be very user friendly. American Singles offers a wide range of services
