Party/Dance/Getting Ready for Date
Romantic

Relaxing
Broken Heart
Here are some upbeat tunes appropriate for parties or
to play as you are getting ready for a date. Remember getting ready
can be half the fun and these tunes will make you shake your booty!
Madonna – Confessions
on a Dance Floor – Yep disco is back and better than
ever or so it is given a new lease with the Material Girl! Confessions
is a clever mix of disco, R&B, Pop, Euro and trance beats. A must
buy for any Madonna fan!
Mariah Carey – The
Emancipation of Mimi – Never thought I would recommend
Mariah Carey but “the voice” is back and better than ever!
The tunes are catchy, full of energy, depth and emotion. Mariah says
"emancipation" is "to free from restraint, control, oppression,
or the power of another" or "to free from any controlling
influence" or "to free somebody from restrictions or conventions."
What a great message.
Gwen Stefani – Love,
Angel, Music, Baby – Gwen Stefani’s solo debut
weaves the perfect blend of 70’s, 80’s, dance, hip hop,
electronica and R&B. She even throws in a few Madonna
moments (check out "The Real Thing"). Who could ask for anything
more?
Garbage – Bleed
Like Me – Their new CD is a perfect union of catchy
rock anthems, edgy in your face music which is delivered with their
usual flair of raw emotional empowering melodies hitched to meaningful
lyrics, that'll will leave you rocking out.
Kelly Clarkson – Breakway
– Kelly Clarkson has broken away from her American Idol roots
and graduated into being a mature, smart, edgy pop star.
Blondie – Greatest
Hits – Blondie newest collection of greatest hits
had been digitally remastered and includes their comeback #1 in the
UK “Maria”.
Michael Jackson – Off
the Wall – Michael Jackson’s first record as
a solo artist made record history with four top hits. Rediscover the
magic of MJ as you remember shaking your booty under sparkling disco
balls!
Pure
Disco – (Polygram), Pure
Disco – Volume 2, Pure
Disco – Volume 3 – If you love disco then you
need to get these CDs because I think they are the best collection of
disco compilations around plus you also get the bonus of a few 80’s
throwbacks. Every time I play them at a party, people get up and dance!
Pure 80’s – Pure
80’s Series – If you love 80’s music
and want to relive those wonderful memories then you need to get Pure
80’s compilation.
Depeche Mode – The
Singles 86>98 – A great compilation of Depeche
Mode hits which also includes a previously unreleased song “Only
when I lose myself”. Get into the mode, I guarantee you will not
stop playing these CDs! I also recommend their new CD, Playing
the Angel which is dark, brooding, greatness (DM is know
for it). Check out “Precious” very catchy song that some
are saying is the best single of their career.
Duran Duran – Astronaut
– Yes, the original fab five are finally back together and have
produced some incredible new music. The new songs are catchy, upbeat,
rhythmic and have captivating melodies. If you are a Duranie then “Nice”
is written about you! Make sure you take the opportunity to see them
live if you have the chance because you will be in for one kick ass
show! I am not just saying that since I am a loyal Duranie, they totally
rocked the house!! Reach out and give their new music a try, you will
not be disappointed!
Yaz – Upstairs
at Eric’s – The finest piece of catchy electronic
pop music to come out of the 80’s. Yaz is a unique blend of smoky
blues with jazz tinged vocals and digital disco.
New Order – Substance
– New Order burst into the British scene with their blend of punk,
dance, and pop music. The result is timeless classics that are still
being played in nightclubs all over the world. “The Perfect Kiss"
and "Shell Shock" were featured in the Motion Picture "Pretty
in Pink".
